Collection procedures
During one week (Sept 1997) 100,000 questionnaires were sent by mail and answers were optically read (under a person's supervision to read unclear answers which computer could not interpret). Participants were asked to report their level of activity at work, anthropometry and nutrition habits.
Follow up procedures
After ten years (late 2007) a new questionnaire will be sent out.
